Services

At Glevering Learning Support, I offer a range of services to support children with dyslexia and other learning differences. Whether you're just beginning to explore how best to help your child or you're looking for formal assessment and guidance, I provide a personalised and compassionate approach for every learner.

  • A comprehensive assessment to understand your child’s learning profile, following SASC (SpLD Assessment Standards Committee) guidelines.

    ·       Background information gathered from both family and school

    • Around three hours of face-to-face assessment using a wide range of tests

    • Conducted at Glevering Learning Support or at home/school

    • Detailed written report including diagnosis (if appropriate), referrals, and tailored recommendations

    • Online or face-to-face consultation included to explain the results and next steps

    • Up-to-date current assessment material used for ages 5 years to 89 years old.

  • For learners who may require support in exams, such as extra time or a scribe, in line with JCQ regulations.

    • Assessment takes around two hours and includes a written report

    • Uses the most suitable, up-to-date, nationally standardised tests

    • Focused on identifying specific needs and normal ways of working

    • This can be suitable for GCSE and beyond, but contact with your school’s SENCO would be required (liaising with the school SENCO is required)

    • Recommendations discussed with the SENCO to support implementation

  • Although a diagnosis of dyslexia is lifelong,  you may wish to have an update on your child’s scores to measure their progress.

    • Assessment takes around two hours and includes a written report, taking into consideration the scores from the previous assessment

    • Focus on their cognitive skills and attainment in literacy and, if required, mathematics

  • A short, focused screener to indicate whether a full diagnostic assessment might be beneficial.

    • Up-to-date current assessment material used for ages 5 years to 89 years old.

    • Takes just 15 minutes

    • Not a formal diagnosis, but a useful first step

    • Includes a discussion with your child and a follow-up consultation (online or face to face) to discuss findings and advice

    • If a full assessment is booked, part of the screener fee will be credited

  • For parents looking for clarity, next steps, or support with an existing diagnosis or concern.

    • Discuss any concerns about your child’s learning

    • Guidance on understanding and using an existing diagnostic report

    • Highlights strengths and strategies your child may already be using

    • Optional observation of your child in school and discussions with teachers

    • Clear, actionable advice to support your child at home and in school
